This mineral UV filters only, oil-in-water broad spectrum sunscreen lotion uses SolaStay® S1 to mitigate the photocatalytic and reactive oxygen species generating activities of the oxides. It was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~71, PFA (PPD) ~23 performance with critical wavelength 379 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
1 | To a secondary vessel add phase A, start mixing, heat to 80°C and then add phase B. |
2 | To the main vessel add phase D, start mixing and then add phase E items in order. |
3 | When phase E has been fully incorporated, heat phase DE to 75°C and then slowly add phase F. |
4 | When both phases are homogeneous and at their designated temperatures, add phase C to phase AB and mix until uniform. |
5 | Slowly add phase ABC to phase DEF with strong mixing. |
6 | Homogenize for 3 minutes, start cooling and when batch is below 50°C add phase G items one by one with mixing. |
7 | Continue mixing until batch is at room temperature, replacing any water lost to evaporation and mixing until smooth. |
