HallStar® CO-1650 Cetearyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol derived entirely from vegetable feedstocks. It is a waxy white solid with a mild odor at room temperature and finds widespread application as an opacifier, emulsion thickener/bodifier and stabilizer, viscosity stabilizer, and rinse-out hair conditioning component.
HallStar® CO-1650 Cetearyl Alcohol consists primarily of approximately equal amounts of Cetyl Alcohol (CAS RN 36653-82-4, EC 253-149-0) and Stearyl Alcohol (CAS RN 112-92-5, EC 204-017-6). Its components are listed in the chemical inventories of the following countries and unions: Australia, Canada, China, European Union, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Switzerland and the United States.
