This formulation uses only mineral UV filters in a water-broad spectrum sunscreen cream and employs SolaStay® S1 to mitigate the photocatalytic and reactive oxygen species-generating activities of the oxides. It was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~60, PFA (PPD) ~24 performance with critical wavelength 380 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
1 | To a secondary vessel add phase A, start mixing, heat to 80°C, add phase B and then add phase C. |
2 | To the main vessel add the Water and Glycerin of phase E, start mixing and add remaining phase items in order. |
3 | When solids of phase E are fully incorporated, heat phase E to 75°C. |
4 | When both phases are homogeneous and at their designated temperatures, add phase D to phase ABC and mix until uniform. |
5 | Slowly add phase ABCD to phase E with strong mixing. |
6 | Homogenize for 3 minutes , start cooling and when batch is below 50°C add phase F items one by one with mixing. |
7 | Continue mixing until batch is at room temperature, replacing any water lost to evaporation and stop mixing when smooth. |
