This oil-in-water sunscreen lotion provides broad spectrum sun protection. HallBrite® BHB (Butyloctyl Salicylate) in HallBrite® EZ-FLO ZDX contributes a very good dispersion for zinc oxide. This formula was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~31, PFA (PPD) ~7 performance with critical wavelength 373 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
| 1 | To the main vessel add liquids of phase A, start mixing and disperse solids with strong mixing for 10-20 minutes. |
| 2 | Heat dispersion with gentle mixing to 75°C. |
| 3 | To a secondary vessel add phase B, start mixing and heat to 80°C. Add phase C and mix until uniform. |
| 4 | When both phases are homogeneous and at their designated temperatures, add phase BC to phase A. |
| 5 | Strong mix phase ABC for 3 minutes and then cool batch. |
| 6 | When batch is below 50°C add phase D with mixing, replace any water lost and mix until smooth. |
