This transparent sunscreen stick formulation is designed to provide label SPF 60 performance without Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Benzophenone-3, Octocrylene, Homosalate, and Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane. A combination of Spectrasolv® DMDA, HallTress® DIBA Special, SolaFresh™, HallStar® TEC, and HallBrite® BHB provides the best solvency for three solid UV filters. Also, HallStar® Octyl Isononanoate contributes a right polarity to form a transparent stick. BIOME Oléoactif® balances the skin’s microbiota and maintains the integrity of the epidermal barrier. In vitro testing suggests SPF ~62, PFA (PPD) ~20, and critical wavelength = 372 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
1 | Add Phase A to the main vessel, start center-stir (prop) mixing and heat to 90 - 100°C. |
2 | Add Phase B to Phase A and mix until uniform and clear to make sure phase B is totally dissolved. |
3 | Start cooling with mixing until 75°C. Stop mix and filling into containers. |
