This water-in-silicone BB cream provides broad spectrum sun protection without using organic UV filters. Our SolaStay® S1 mitigates the photocatalytic and reactive oxygen species-generating activities of the oxides. Our superior co-emulsifier Olivem® 900 is designed to improve the dispersion of powders in decorative formulations and of inorganic UV attenuating agents in sun care formulations, and contribute to waterproofing by improving the resistance to wash off. This formula was subjected to in vitro analysis and delivered SPF ~55, PFA (PPD) ~23 performance with critical wavelength 382 nm.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
1 | To the main vessel add phase A and start mixing. Combine phase B, disperse into phase A and heat phase AB to 75°C. |
2 | Add phase C to phase AB and mix well until uniform. |
3 | In a secondary vessel combine liquids of phase D, start mixing, add solids of phase D and, when dissolved, heat phase D to 50°C and add phase E. |
4 | When both phases are homogeneous, start homogenizing phase ABC and very slowly add phase DE to it. |
5 | Add phase F components in order and cool batch to room temperature. |
