PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE
1 | Charge DI Water into main beaker. Begin moderate agitation and heating to 50C. |
2 | Add in Disodium EDTA and Butylene Glycol one by one with mixing. |
3 | Sprinkle in Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, and continue to mix and maintain temperature. Continue to mix until Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer is fully hydrated, and no visible particles are remaining. |
4 | Add in Panthenol and Allantoin one by one, ensuring they are fully solubilized before continuing. |
5 | Sprinkle in Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, and adjust mixing speed to accommodate increase in viscosity. |
6 | Add in HallSens DIAS, and continue to mix well for 30 minutes. Begin cooling the batch to 30C |
7 | Add in preservative and ensure adequate mixing. |
8 | Add Sodium Hydroxide solution with paddle mixing to neutralize Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer slurry. Batch will thicken slightly. |
9 | Begin to cool to room temperature with slow mixing. |
